With 96 ski runs and just over 70km of pistes, Mont Tremblant offers a good choice for beginners and intermediates who want a week away in a unique Canadian Ski resort.Tremblant certainly has its own uniqueness and atmosphere being refreshingly different from any other resort in North America and Europe.
Tremblant is a relatively new resort on the scene and is very modern, yet has been built in a old Quebec style, with both thought and creativeness enabling it to ooze with its own charm. The natives here speak French as well as English and with the option of direct daily flights from Heathrow to Montreal, it offers one of the shortest journey times to any North American resort, with a transfer of just over 90 minutes.
Montreal is considered as the prettier sister resort to Whistler, with its brightly coloured buildings, cobbled, pedestrianised streets and town squares. Though the atmosphere and ambiance is more French in style, the general resort service is undeniably North American with its speed and efficiency. Families will revel in the friendly atmosphere in Mont Tremblant but adults will also enjoy the quietly vibrant and welcoming apres ski scene here.
Much of the accommodation in Tremblant is based around the centre and are generally of a high quality standard. The most imposing accommodation is the luxurious Fairmont Mont Tremblant, with much of the other accommodation choices being hotels and condominiums, offering European style ski-in ski-out access. The ski lifts emanate from the town base and where you will also find with the ski school meeting area and the nursery slopes. More advanced skiers will take the lifts to the top in search of any fresh powder and off piste options.
